Did anyone know?

I take it that every sydneysider knows that the Sydney Metropolitian Railway
System is decreasing in size not expanding?
In the past 50 years 6 passenger railway lines in Sydney have closed, 7
goods/freight lines have closed and 1 car siding has closed.
In the past 20 years around 30kms of track have opened.
compared to the 20kms that have closed in the past 30.
