Well Hubert, where do you think the proposed link is going to go. A
tunnel all the way under King Georges Rd, perhaps. Or just bulldoze a
corridor through the suburbs. If this proposal goes ahead, and that's a
big IF, it is going to use the existing corridor of railway. Now the
cheapest solution is to use existing tracks but upgrade the signalling
for passenger movements where required. The dearer solution will be to
add a dedicated line but still use the same corridor and just widen it.
