That tongue-twisting station and its community
are on the Isle of Anglesey.

The subject of this post is Llanfair Caereinion (to give
it its full title) a small town in Mid-Wales.

It is the western terminus and HQ of the 2ft. - 6inch
gauge Welshpool & Llanfair Railway, the gala
weekend of which just happens to fall this coming
Saturday & Sunday, 2nd & 3rd September.

Just above Llanfair Station is the local High School and
Community Centre, wherein a splendid model railway
show, devoted in the main to large scale models of
narrow gauge prototypes, compliments the real thing.

I hope to be there myself.
