There are many abbreivations used in an operational railway environment.
Some are used so much (eg SPAD) that some people forget what the
abbreivation stands for but knows what it means in layperson's terms.

Is ABBS the correct abbreivation for abbrievation? And why is the word
"abbreivation" so long?
