They always do - in this case the 8:17 is scheduled as a Hornsby service,
but the stopping pattern was altered by station staff to a Gordon train.
Hence the announcement sais it "goes to Hornsby", but the "stopping at"
portion said it terminates at Gordon.

In any case, it does not cater for out-of-course running, nor does the
"countdown to departure" serve any purpose - when late running occurs, it
goes to 0 mins, then the minutes disappear.
