3813 was shunting in SA when 3801 was in Perth. 3820 was also working
ex-Gosford. Not bad having 38s working in 3 states at the same time.

There was one other 38 (22?) still operational at the time. There was a
half hearted idea about getting it to Brisbane.

3803 was still in service when planning for the Western Endeavour started.
Would have been nice to see two streamlined 38s heading west.
