There are doors that lead to underneath Hurstville station steps, and that
is where the PC is stored. What else could it be for? It was housed in some
sort of glass or perspex or something, with no floppy/cd drive.

I don't know the exact reason for rewiring, but they were definitely
fiddling around around the computer. I assume they were "fixing" a
microphone or something to the array of wires for manual announcements.

I'll report again tomorrow, when I suppose Hurstville hears the female for
the first time.
