Re: Olympic Park Timetable



More on my original subject - the underlying timetable structure for the
13/09/00 to 01/10/00 CityRail timetable is trains allocated to a particular
run.  C sets are not shown as discrete trains nor are Newcastle's non
Endeavour stock (although I now suspect they will remain in Newcastle (shown
as 4 car Endeavours perhaps).  I haven't covered the InterCity areas  in any
details.  These basic patterns are supplemented at different times of the
day or replaced by longer runs (Central - Bondi Junction shuttle is extended
to provide  the 15 minute service on all lines).

The basic patterns are:

Richmond - North Sydney - Richmond    1/2 hourly    8 car S sets

Penrith (01/31) - Berowra - Penrith    1/2 hourly    8 car S sets

Penrith (13/43) - Gordon - Penrith    1/2 hourly    8 car S sets

Blacktown - Lindfield - Blacktown    1/2 hourly    8 car S sets &8 car T
sets

Emu Plains - Blacktown - Emu Plains    hourly    8 car T set

Blacktown - Olympic Park - Blacktown    high frequency    8 car T sets

Sydney Terminal - Olympic Park - Sydney Terminal    high frequency    8 car
T sets

Blue Mountains' services    6 car V sets

Hornsby (Shore) - City - (main) Hornsby (main) - City - (Shore) - Hornsby
1/2 hourly    8 car S sets

Gosford (main) - North Sydney - (main) Gosford    1/2 hourly
8 car G sets & 8 car T sets

Newcastle (main) - Sydney - (main) Newcastle    1/2 hourly    8 car V sets

Mortdale - Bondi Junction - Mortdale    1/2 hourly    6 car R sets

Waterfall - Bondi Junction - Waterfall    1/2 hourly    8 car S sets

Cronulla - Bondi Junction - Cronulla    1/2 hourly    8 car T sets

Central - Bondi Junction - Central    every 10 minutes    6 car R sets & 8

Macarthur - East Hills - Airport - City Circle Inner - Ashfield - City
Circle Outer - Airport - East Hills - Macarthur    1/4 hourly    6 car R
sets, 8 car S sets & 8 car T sets

East Hills - Airport - City Circle Inner - Granville campbelltown -
Granville - City Circle Outer - Airport - East Hills    1/4 hourly    8 car
S sets & 8 car T sets

Carlingford - Clyde - Carlingford    40/50 minute headways    4 car S set

Considering the integrated nature of the network, the above patterns are the
best way to minimise the spread of delays.
