In the EIS CD-ROM on Volume 1, Page 172 there is an aerial photograph with an overlay of the new line.
There is a link from the new line to the old line with the words "New rail line to Clyde relief line".
So there will be a connection to Clyde, but the question now is how often they're going to use?
