ha, ha, seriously though, does it go or just sit up there, does Dorrigo have
any plans for acquiring more locos? or do they have a cut off date, say 1970
for example. I heard that the rival group have requested 1919 recently (why
the delay?), the same group apparently used to pay $18 a sleeper (new) but
their supplier has retired, imagine the cost of resleepering 5 to 10 km of
the line. The only real way of rebuilding the Dorrigo line would be bulldose
the existing line and relay it from scratch. I reckon the GMR should take
their loco and stock and run to the nearest capital city to set up their
operation before the track maintanence costs eats them up.
