Today, there were a few trains of interest to be
seen. First up, just after 05.30 this morning, G543 passed Murrumbeena with the
pioneer train heading for Westall. A few minutes later a T-P-T light engine also
passed on the down.
Heading into town just after 11.00, I arrived to
see the Patrick train entering the dock with double ASR liveried CLP's 8 &
13. A look at the NRC yard revealed both C's had changed over yards, C505 is now
in the container yard, while C508 is the steel yard shunter. AN1 was at the
provisioning centre, having arrived yesterday afternoon on the steel
train.
Great Northern ran an empty sleeper train from
Nth Melbourne to Spotswood with 377-T395. After depositing the wagons they ran
light engine to Steamrail to return T395.
