Re: RTM Tour
Aus loco discussion mailing list
Oops , possibly careless wording.
The tour was tabled to refuge/ stable/ occupy a spare track at Maitland from
1910 to 2130, then head for Wingham (as NL73) arr 0110, then sit there until
0555, when it proceeds to Taree, arr 0610, run round and depart for Sydney
at 0645 as previously posted. I also incorrectly quoted the Up train number
as NL73 - should have read NL74.
For reference, the exact words on the STN on arriving at Maitland are "shunt
and stable". This was an empty car movement from Branxton - the patrons
having alighted there to go to the Opera in the vineyards.
The point of the message was that the train is scheduled to reverse at
Maitland, which should result in 4306 leading in the morning. The consist
is 4306,44211,
6 sleepers, lounge,diner and power van (all stainless steel), 9 cars/ 420
tons.
regards,
Paul
