Evening All
A long day started when G 533 led 15 VHGF's into Junee at around 0520
this morning, after attaching 5 wagons not loaded on Monday, and then
remarshalling the train to take into consideration 2 wagons with brakes
cut out, 9379 left Junee for The Rock at 0610, I arrived at The Rock at
0700 just in time to see G 522 leading T 399 entering the yard from the
south,staying on the main,,shortly after G 533 arrived,and ran into the
Up loop, a quick chat between the FV, Austrac, LVR/SRS drivers, the T
was cut off and ran into the hole , G 533 cut off its train and ran onto
the main and hooked up to G 522, 522 and 533 then ran to the Up end of
the yard , the T attached to the consist and ran out onto the branch, as
soon as they cleared, a following Freightcorp grain led by 8103 -8135
ran into the just vacated track, the 2 G's ran to Wagga Wagga where they
went into the refuge for the day while the FV and SRS crews did barracks
time,
T 399, running under a Rova Mech, and limited to 30kph ran out to Boree
Creek arriving at 0950, after running around and positioning, loading
started almost straight away, with loading completed at 1345, the
decision was made to ask for a Rova Mech, so as the train of 1520 tonnes
could be hauled to Lochardt by the single T, divided , and the two
halves then dragged through to The Rock, this was granted at 1445, The T
class which I think is about the equivalent of a 49 class, managed to
haul the load through to Lochardt , the train was then divided and the
lead portion arrived at The Rock at 1715, in the mean time G 522 had
been started up and had departed Wagga Wagga at around 1530 for the L/E
trip to Port Kembla, the T returned to Lochardt, picked up the second
half of the train and had returned to The Rock at around 2030, G533 due
to arrive at 2100 to take the T to Albury and rest of the consist to
Melbourne and eventually Portland,
Yours,
Pete Kilburn, Junee,
You are younger today than you will ever be again
Make the most of it.
