With acknowledgement to Leon.
My notes indicate that all the H's did indeed, do their 'Load Trials' with T
class numberplates.
And as far as I'm aware, were delivered as T413 - T417.
I not 'absolutely' sure, but I suspect that the first 1 or 2 H's may have
even entered service on the 'Hump' still with their T Class numberplates
'firmly' attached.
Albeit, perhaps only for a short time.
If Dave is unable to confirm this, maybe one of our knowledgable Vic'
Subscribers could shed a little bit more light, here.
I'd also be interested to know if the necessary 'ballasting' for ALL the H's
was done by Clyde, prior to delivery ??
