  Having helped out on its overhaul/restoration over the past 6 weeks,I know 
now why the 47's never worked the way in which they were supposed to. When 
we pressure washed  the radiators,the water was coming out loco black on the 
other side. The gunzals are going to love this thing when it gets down to 
Sydney.

   The refference to the parrot is that some of us LVR members feel it looks 
like a superb parrot ( or barabrand ) from the area slightly south of Cowra. 
Don't know when it will get there,but it will possibly involve 4701 coming 
home for a 6 monthly checkup, the collection of some wagons for Rail Freight 
from Bathurst, & the log train (either hume or 'wang)

   Does any one else have any old notes on their travels around the 
countryside?
