I have noticed that spare 82 class from the Melbourne running pool 8212 to
8216 are often used banking coal and wheat trains on the Illawarra eg CA16
Down Coal this evening with 8215/8157/8153/8141.
The Melbourne 82s are meant to be increasing the average mileage run by the
class. They have to be fitted with Victorian train to base radios. Spares
are kept handy to Sydney on low mileage jobs!
Hmmmm.
