Dual fixed radios and mobile phone, Pulse EOT system, SAW loco display
unit, electric fridges & Microphor toilet installed. Centre bar replaced at
each end of unit by a removable chain to permit stepping from one loco to
the next, tail disc holding bracket removed, Bremshey seats fitted, water
cooler removed, US-style locomotive ditch lights fitted (not auto lights
like other Australian locos), Ditch lights flash alternately when the
whistle is sounded. Various other minor alterations.
