[Ausloco] Smaller locos
Not quite smaller locos leading but I was at Albury one evening in 1971 when 4535 was heading 4482 on a northbound goods.
The driver took one look at the 45 and raised the protest flag, he wasn't sitting in a draughty 45 and there was lots of blue language and arm waving.
The end result was the locos had to be switched and the driver was so fired up, he took off like a bat out of hell with great clouds of smoke and sparks emanating from both locos in true ALCo style!
This backs up previous subscribers in that it is up to the individual crews as to which loco leads.
Regards
Noel M Forster
