Re: [Ausloco] SAR 500 class multiple unit ?
Hi there,
500 class were not originally fitted with MU capability so the photos
that you have seen would have been "dead attached". Two were later
fitted with MU after I left the Railways but soemthing tells me that
the engine control systems ( the engines load governor which was a
motor drive arrangement on the 500's and a air controlled mechanical
device on the 800's - how 25 years dulls the memories)would have been
incompatible.
