Re: [Ausloco] 830, AN and CK questions!!!
My understanding of things are as follows:
CK3 was sent to replace a DE, probably DE8 that is presently being overhauled at PA
I am unaware of a second DE being overhauled at this stage, if there is, I'd like to know about it.
CLP9 is the next unit in for overhaul and I am told that ALF20 will be done after it is completed.
L265 is presently being rebuilt at NRE.
The difference between the DLs and ANs is that the ANs are being used on long haul runs and their reliability figures are poor because they are overdue for an overhaul (CCO) whereas the DLs are doing more local work these days.
>From what I can make out CLF3 has an upgraded ZTR control system, not an EMD system. This has nothing at all to do with 82 class testing which you mention.
