Tuesday 04/01/2000:

8040, 8044 and eleven empty oil pots passed Bungendore at around 16:45, pausing for safe-working for approximately five minutes and blocking the main road to the coast in the process.  A good smoky ALCO display marked their departure north, both locos powering.
