Re: CLP/CLF

G'day Ross,

"P" for "passenger" CLP's were (originally if not now!) fitted with a roll-in/roll-out head-end power engine & generator set for powering passenger sets. This was/is a Detroit GM `truck-sized' motor fitted at the No.2 end. CLF's did not have this fitted. There is probably more differences. Might I suggest that Justin Cheary should be the man for the definitive answer!
AN changed the "paintjob" to include the silver touch above the bogies on CLP's too.

What (in SIMPLE terms) is the difference in the rebuild of the CLs to CLPs and CLFs?

Just to ask a dumb question, I know there's been lots written, but I dont have any thing on the subject.
