RE: SN36 today

SN36 forms a return working back to Moss Vale (Eveleigh crews, Moss Vale
crews go home pass) around 9:00-ish (On the South Danny, Help me out with
times and ultimate destination, please!!!), so a diversion to Eveleigh would
have been off the cards.

It is possible that the set needed to go into Eveleigh, and they didn't want
to
have to terminate it in platform 4 Erskineville later on. The only way
trains
from Sydenham could have got into Sydney Yard would have been to go up the
Illawarra Local from Sydenham, cross Local near Redfern, cross Suburban
(steam)
then into the yard.
