POTS Location Tags

Newmarket Station is the branch station for the Flemington Racecourse Line.  The line branches off just to the north of the station.

    On Saturday 17/7/99 Up home 36 at the Up end of the Up platform was converted back to an Automatic and renumbered E.188.  Lever 36 and associated signal indication was removed form the panel at Kensington.

9-10-1871 Reopened
2-10-1918 overhead live Newmarket to Flemington Racecourse (first overhead)
12-5-1942 Sub Station siding removed
27-7-1969 interlocking and signal box removed, remote control from Kensington
24-1-1978 Darrell Lea siding out of use.
12-9-1986 lever C removed (end of good trains on Newmarket live stock sidings)
