The loop may have been ready for use on 29-1-1984. (northern loop, BMS trains - Burnley and Caufield were going for a while before that) by that stage Flagstaff and Parliament may also have been open.  Stand corrected on any of this information.

13-9-1854	Flinders Street Station opened
17-1-1859	Spencer Street Station opened
2-12-1980	Museum opened for pass (no trains)
26-1-1981	Museum opened
26-1-1981	Burnley and Caulfield loops open
1-11-1982	Parliament to Flinders Street opened
22-1-1983	Parliament opened
7-1-1985	North Melbourne to Museum opened for traffic
27-5-1985	Flagstaff opened
16-2-1997	Museum renamed Melbourne Central
