Was just about ready for bed a while ago when the howl
of an EMD was heard winding up from The Gap towards
Town. DL39 was hauling a dead NR and a fairly hefty
train. Seems the NR carked it about 50 Kms South of
Alice Springs.
Loco breakdowns on this line are pretty rare with the
NR class, but nice to hear a solo EMD hard at it again.
