Freight Vic take over date

Now I know everyone said that Freight Victoria took over control
of V/Line Freight on May 1, but this was the middle of the pay week and
for the first week of may V/Line Freight payed the wages.  Therefore I
ask when did Freight Vic take over, may 1 or a week latter at the end of
the pay week?
