3801+3830 going to Victoria

I was told last night by Arthur Tubby of 3801 Ltd that 3801 and 3830 have
been hired by the RTM to go to Victoria over Easter 2000. The train will be
going to Dimboola and Portland. While the NSW passengers go on a broad gauge
trip (probably to Echuca or Mildura) the 38s will run some trips for
Victorian passengers, most likely to Seymour but may be other destinations
as well.
Arthur also said that the black paint on 3801 is an undercoat with a little
bit of gloss paint mixed in to make it look respectable.
