True - but it is something that GSR need to be looking at and planning - so
that they can pplace orders about mid-2001 (enough work would have been done
by then that there would be no turning back) and ready to enter service in
time for the opening.

The cars currently used on the I-P and the Ghan are due for replacement
anyway, so it helps to take this new line into account.
