Advertising on Metcards

Hi all,

I was surprised not to notice any mention of the "Melbourne Food"
pictures appearing on Metcards recently, in this newsgroup. Does anyone
know the purpose of this? As it doesn't refer to specific food outlet I
can only assume it has been done for collector purposes like pictures on
Phonecards.

Does anyone think there would be an opportunity for cross promotion with
Metcard? Along the lines of presenting expired met card entitles you to
x% off at some store.

While on the topic of advertising, what do people think of Cadbury's all
over advertising at Richmond Station. First it was their generic brand
and now it's Cherrie Ripe. What will be next? Is this an effective form
of advertising, and I wonder how much Hillside? stand to gain from it
and if their is potential at other stations.
