Re: Heathcote etc. - QUICK PLEASE!

Heathcote Junc - Bendigo:

The old timber bridge at Pyalong is worth a look. The bridge is on the
Melbourne side of the town and its still intact and is very big. It may be a
little bit hard to find as its on a side road, but Pyalong is a pretty small
town. Keep an eye out for brown tourist signs, I'm not sure if there are some
of these for the bridge. If you don't know where Pyalong is, its between
Kilmore and Tooborac. I think its about 23km north of Kilmore. There are also
the remains of a timber bridge at Axedale, but there isn't much there so I
would only bother if you were really interested in bridges.

Clarkefield - Lancefield:

There is a timber bridge that's visible from the main road, but its a fair
way away and on private property. I think it's over the Bolinda Creek but I'm
not completely sure about this. I also think that the station building at
Lancefield still exists but its privately owned now. There's a picture of the
bridge on page 71 of "Change Here For" by Wal Larsen.
