Re: Oct RD report; Queenslander 2800 locos

-- Hello,
Well the 2800 class only ever come down to Bisbane for wheel lathe and
sometimes for testing of heights ect. These locos are only allowed to travel
at 60kmph through platforms as there width prevents them from going any
faster. Also the cant travel beyond Roma Street via South Brisbane and must
run on the main lines to Corinda and Acacia Ridge. Also they cant travel
between Roma Street and Bowen Hills via Central.Sometimes they will travel
down to Brisbane for the wheel lathe ect as a light engine and they dont
normally haul trains by themselves south of Rockhampton, they are usually
vehicles in freight trains behind the electric locos.
