I travelled into Sydney on the Sydney Ghan on Saturday Morning.
NR 120 hauled a standard consist train.
We diverted from the main western line around 1:30am, around the new Y to
Cootamundra, where we departed Cootamundra West at 5:16am, Through Goulburn
4 mins after the Canberra Xplorer at 8:19am, and into Sydney Terminal
Platform 1 via East Hills arriving at 11:38am.
Good work GSR for not doing a countrylink and replacing the train with
busses from Lithgow at 6:15am!
I believe the Ghan returned to Broken Hill via Cootamundra and East Hills at
1:40pm, 30 mins late
