Hmm! Also related to this subject, what are the rails through and bypassing
a weighbridge called? These are like Gauntlet tracks, but have points and no
frog or 'V'. The opposite of the gauntlet I originally asked about.

I've read that Elphinstone (Bendigo line) tunnel had a gauntleted section
many years ago, when the rails were welded there, I think.
