Most of the NE maintenance staff for in Gippsland last weekend. Abolishing points
and signals at Nar Nar Goon, Trafalgar and one other. Only one left would have
been the down end XO at Berwick, perhaps someone can confirm. When all this is
completed, sidings/crossovers now only at Pakenham, Warragul, Moe (Bank Eng
Siding only - or has it gone also), Morwell, Maryvale, Traralgon and Sale. Pretty
poor state of affairs for a railway supposedly in the throes of freight
expansion.
