Heard about the rail tunnel from Camden into the Burragorang Valley?
A tunnel from near Camden or Picton to the junction of the Coxs &
Wollondilly Rivers were two of the early proposals for crossing the Blue
Mountains. From there, the line would have run up the Coxs River valley to
near Lithgow.
That's pretty ambitious!
