Re: Track Recorder (VIC)



If this is the EM100 track recording car, it was built by Plasser Australia in
the early 1980's.
It was originally Broad Gauge.
In 1996  a Std Gauge set of bogies and recording trolleys were purchased from
Plasser as a part of the One Nation Project.

It records track gauge, cant, twist,  horizontal curve radius and transition
curves.
I'm not sure if it can measure vertical curves.
It can also measure contact wire height but this is rarely used (that is if the
pantograph is still fitted).

It is now owned by GNRS.
