Peterbrough Station news Frid 26th nov 1999.



Very quiet day at the station, The westbound Indian Pacific
glided to a stop at 12:50 well ahead of time and dropped two
passengers, the car captain was an old hand at the game
and ordered the driver of NR9 to move the consist up the
platform , then stopped the luggage van spot on where
the passengers were waiting, other car Captains have had
to unload luggage at the far end of the platform.

The eastbound BHP freight was the next train through, with
NR49 and NR106 up front, the load from Whyalla consisted
of Billets, Rolling Mill Products and Rail. Time 15:00.

The westbound BHP freight raced through , with NR72 and
NR102   powering on at 16:15.CST  , the main freight being
rolled wire.
