Re: [VIC] Oaklands/Benalla Tour - Double R's

Hi,

As a friend and I were driving about the countryside last night, we saw the
level crossing lights at Wallan, being 22:30 I was expecting it to be just
another boring(!!!) freight. We stopped at the level crossing and I looked
right, the light and smoke being emitted from a certain spot looked like
that of a steam engine. As I got out of the car, i went to the other side
of the level crossing to take a look.

Then was the sound of two almight R class locos taking off from Wallan
station. All I can say is, it sounded almight spectacular as both R's and
their consist sped off into the night, accompanied by the all familiar VR
whistle. I did feel like calling out "go reggie" as the train went past,
incase he was about, foaming, errr *cough* recording, but i refrained :-)

The train went through the crossing at 22:31, 6 minutes ahead of schedule.
I totally did not expect to happen across this train, however had I have
been half an hour earlier, I would have seen it go through Kilmore East.

Regards
Michael

What is the point of having quotes at the end of your .sig?
