Re: Swanston Street



The speed of the trams in Swanston St is set at 30 km/h - the same as the cars. I
think the main reason for allowing the cars back into the street is because the
traders were complaining that they were missing on buisness. Its seems funny though
because cars can not even stop in swanston street and go to purchase something in a
shop, they have to part in another street. while the union has been making noises
that allowing cars back into the street will be a danger due to lack of safety
barriers their "so-called" ban has been lifted. ? has it suddenly become safe? or
has the council decided on something?
