Wodonga Pass had a problem also yesterday, and X44[2] was pinched from
FV and taken to Albury to pull a very dark and cold Pass to Melbourne about
40 mins late. Not only did the Prime Mover refuse to start, also the HEP!
The X was returned to Wodonga on the next down pass and was in place to run
9358
at 2230 that night. Wondered why it was running and still warm when I signed
on, it is usually cold, shut down from about 1700 when the pilot crew put
the train together.
Rod ;o)
P.S. Imagine the bean counters 600 km round trip, wear and tear, double it
add 150% just to make sure....
