No mystery.  The section of track concerned was set in mass concrete
and like most similar track was not removed on cessation of tram
services.  O'Dea St is normally a fairly low vehiclular traffic route,
so only the actual rails were tarmaced over, but the diversion of high
voluems of vehicular traffic down O'Dea St due to airport freeway
works has exposed the rails again.
