Observations on Sun. 16/5 were:
- CLF 4 and CLF 2 discharging new rails at the 200km post.
- GM42 - 25 VZMF - GM43 near the 208km post with a ballast train.
Work to replace the timber sleepers appears almost complete, with only
about 4km to go.
However the existing concrete-sleepered section up to the 200km post
is still only laid in the original 47kg/m rail - is this to be
replaced as well?
After discharging rail CLF 4 / CLF2 continued to Inverleigh to reverse
and stable.
It was reported by a member of the train crew that a timber-sleepered
section on the Up side of Inverleigh (the curves at approx. 94km) is
to be worked on during the coming week.
