Well, this is an interesting subject. The builders plates on new loco's still
have the EMD herald prominently displayed. The calendar that EMD put out this
year makes no reference to anything about GMDD, it has pictures of all the
loco's that London produced but has EMD plastered all over it. I'm starting to
think GM have dropped the GMD/GMDD thing and only use it to denote the London
plant.
In years gone by they used to build all exports in Canada and say they were
built by GMD for tax/export reasons.
