Railway personnel [in QLD] were issued with a pass which could be
produced if stopped by a warden during an air raid alert if going to
and from duty. One of these passes is shown [P.30] in "Links" by E. D.
Hills, regarding his time in Townsville in WW11. 

Some air raid shelters for Brisbane suburban stations remain. I think
Park Road still has one.
