Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge Questions

When they did the loco-testing, a temporary connection between the tram
tracks and the rail tracks was installed just south of Nth Sydney
Station. This connection was lifted when the testing was complete.

For the record, the (arch) bridge Chris was referring to was demolished
in 1966 as part of the construction works for the Warringah Expressway.
It was used as a road bridge from tram removal in 1958 to 1966.

Also, does anyone have an idea exactly which 92 locos were used in the
testing? Footage indicates a number of Standard Goods and 19-class locos,
some with, but most without tenders.
