Swanston St/Franklin St Points (Melb)

Dear all,

The tram points at the above mentioned intersection (which happen to be
brand new) do not provide a smooth ride around the corner. Today I was on a
southbound tram and as it went around the corner, everybody was thrown as
the tram rounded the curve.

The problem is that now they fixed the track so that it turns, runs straight
for a bit and then turns again (to stop drivers walking in the middle of the
intersection to change points), they forgot to tell drivers they should go
slow until they round the second curve.

In a way, the old track layout would've been better :)
