As often as necesary one would assume. Depending on what was wrong with the
set, and depending on its final destination, they may have needed both the
T&P to get it there..

The empty car movements to Epping are quite regular.
Epping has the facilities to stable 15 6 car sets, and also has the
maintanence depot.
Of a night they used to run 12 car empties for balancing.
