Stockrington No.2 was part of the original proposal. The Hunter Valley
proposals have met strong local opposition which is why Tarago is now on
the cards.

With rubbish to Tarago and (hopefully!) more logs from Bungendore and/or
Royalla, this could mean quite a revival for the Canberra line.

One of the fuel companies (BP?) recently transfered its Canberra fuel
haulage from rail to road, but it is not quite as cost effective as
originally thought. While transhipping is no longer required, the cost of
drivers is much higher than expected. Trailerail fuel tankers have been
proposed.
