It has been tried in other groups (not rail related, admittedly, but it HAS
been tried).

People tend to hit "Reply to group" all of the time, so we have a subject
that says "NSW - 48 class" when it is dealing with the SAR (later AN) 830
class, becuase the thread has migrated to that.

Once that happens, the whole thing will die.
